Mariana Lanari
about Mariana Lanari is a Brazilian artist, curator and editor based in Amsterdam. She received a MFA from the Sandberg Instituut and is currently doing a PhD at the University of Amsterdam / Amsterdam School of Heritage and Memory. She is a tutor at the Art and Research program at Gerrit Rietveld Academy, and member of ARIAS, Amsterdam Research Institute of the Arts and Sciences. Her research is about dynamic of cultural translation, the interaction between politics of reading and reading infrastructures, focused on the topic of mediation in the library, considering mediation in physical and digital libraries. Understanding the library as heritage, cultural memory, and perhaps the library as a museum. She has a band with Sjoerd Leijten in which they perform audio visual narrations of Finnegans Wake.
